Employee welfare

The Group works actively to keep sick leave rates as low as possible. In order to make this happen, Lerøy Seafood Group offers complete health and safety training to every single employee.

In 2017, only minor injuries were reported among employees. The Group’s Norwegian subsidiaries reported an accumulated sick leave of 5.97% (4.4% in 2016). This figure comprises 3.79% long-term and 2.18% short-term sick leave. The Group works actively to keep sick leave rates as low as possible, and The Board is pleased to see how successful this approach has been.  to observe this. Comparable sick leave statistics are not available from our foreign subsidiaries. However, the organisations in the individual subsidiaries are subject to continuous development, and all employees within the Group complete health and safety training. Both the working environment and the atmosphere of cooperation are good. 

Numbers of accidents, near-accidents and safety issues are recorded monthly.
