This is how Lerøy works with food safety

In Lerøy, we value food safety very highly. Our products must be healthy, safe to eat and of high quality. To ensure this, Lerøy has a number of quality assurance measures throughout the value chain, including:

  • High requirements for hygiene and maintenance in production
  • Daily cleaning and disinfection of the factories
  • An extensive analysis and sampling program that verifies that the products are safe and of good quality
  • Traceability of all products in the entire value chain
  • Withdrawal in four hours in case of product deviation

Lerøy is working in many ways to reduce risk. Among other things, we are constantly working to raise the standard at all our facilities. DNV, which is a neutral third party, carries out audits of the facilities to ensure that we comply with the standard.

Each of our industrial facilities has its own assessment. There we monitor, reduce and remove risks related to food safety.
